Job summary

Affinity Trust in St Leonards, East Sussex, is seeking a part-time Support Worker for waking nights (10pm–7am) at a home. You will assist adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, helping with daily routines, personal care, and medication as needed.

The role requires flexibility (weekends possible) and attendance at daytime training/meetings. DBS check is enhanced and fully funded by the employer.

Qualifications

• An enhanced DBS check is required (paid for by the employer).
• Willingness to work waking nights and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide night-time support to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
• Assist with personal care, well-being, and medications as needed.
• Support staying up late, nighttime routines, or early morning activities.
• Attend training and meetings during the day as required.

Who will I support?

We are looking for someone to join our team working nights at our home in St leonards, East Sussex, supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs support.

You will be working in their home, so it’s important you can connect, whether its because they like to stay up late and watch a film, listen to Music with a hot chocolate, or enjoy a relaxing bath before going to bed. Or they may be early risers and want your support to get up and ready for the day ahead, and so your role will be to provide responsive support during the night and early morning as required.

People may need support with areas of their personal care and well-being, support to take medication or help getting around.

Waking Nights run form 10pm - 7am. You will need to be able to work flexibly, including some weekends.

You will need to be able to attend training and meetings during the day as required.

*Pay rate of £13.10 is effective as of 26th October 2026. Current rate £13.00
