Job summary

Caring for Communities and People (CCP) is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for our Accommodation Based Services in Stroud. The role is full-time (39.375 hours per week) on a rota, including alternate weekends, based at our Stroud property.

Salary is £27,452 per year, with a focus on helping young people aged 16-25 achieve independence and stable tenancy. You will provide practical and emotional support, work within a trauma-informed framework, and collaborate with a team to empower residents

The Role

We are recruiting for aSupport Worker to join ourAccommodation Based Services Team, supporting young people aged 16-25 in our

homes acrossGloucestershire and the Forest of Dean.

Our goal is to upskill young people living in our properties to be able to confidently live on their own, manage their life and

tenancies, and achieve an independent move on.

You'll be providing practical and emotional support to individuals living in our properties, and helping to promote a greater

level of independence, whilst being part of a team committed to creating and upholding positive change.

The role is full-time (39.375 hours per week)on a rota basis, including alternate weekends, based at our property in Stroud.

Part-time and bank hours are also available.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide guidance and support to enable young people to live independently

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be patient, kind, resilient and professional, with a calm and caring approach.

You’ll receive comprehensive training to ensure you are able to deliver support in a trauma informed way.

^Annual Leave entitlement will be pro-rata for Part-time staff. Working on public holidays due to a rota pattern will be

compensated with time off in lieu. An extra day of leave accrues for each completed financial year (capped at 5). Purchasing

additional holidays is capped at 5 per year.

^^Contracted staff only. Business mileage (55p a mile) is paid for any daily miles over and above the distance from your home to

the allocated workplace location and back. You’ll need awell-maintained vehicle with valid tax, MOT andInsurance covering
