Job summary

Caring for Communities and People (CCP) is recruiting a part-time Support Worker for our Accommodation Based Services in Evesham. You will support adults who are homeless or at risk, assisting with housing moves, safety planning and daily living skills across a flexible fortnightly schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Assist adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to find housing and settle in.
  • Provide support with daily living, budgeting, cooking and independence skills.
  • Safety planning, trauma-informed support and collaboration with external services.
  • Work on a rota with potential weekend shifts and occasional travel within the region.

We have an exciting opportunity for aSupport Workerto join ourAccommodation Based Servicesteam providinghousing and support

to adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessnessinEvesham. This is a part-time role, working 7.5 hours one week and 22.5

the second week, for an average of 30 hours over a fortnight.

  • * There is so much variety.You could be helping someone move and settle into their new home, safety planning to reduce harm, helping someone secure their desired job or secure the place on the training course they have aspired to, support with independent living skills like shopping, budgeting, and cooking.
  • * Your support will betrauma-informed.You will understand people's backgrounds and focus on their strengths.
  • * There will betailored, specific trainingthat will help you advance through a training pathway and progress during your career at CCP.
  • * You will work in collaboration championing Consultation and Engagement.Working in partnershipwith our residents, their families, external agencies including Local Authority housing and homelessness teams, Health Services, Employment/Training services, and Adult Services.
  • * Ourclose-knit teamsof Support Workers, Senior Support Workers and Project Managers deliver their support over a rota patternwith the possibility of occasional weekends.
  • * Experience in the Health and Social Care sectoror with people would be useful in this role. However, this is not essential as induction & training will be given.

^Annual Leave entitlement will be pro-rata for Part-time staff. Working on public holidays due to a rota pattern will be compensated with time off in lieu. An extra day of leave accrues for each completed financial year (capped at 5). Purchasing additional holidays is capped at 5 per year.

^^Contracted staff only. Business mileage (55p a mile) is paid for any daily miles over and above the distance from your home to

the allocated workplace location and back. You'll need awell-maintained vehicle with valid tax, MOT andInsurance covering
