Job summary

Inicio Group Ltd is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Castleford to assist young people aged 16 to 19 transitioning from care. You will work as part of a person-centred team, promoting independence and preparing for adulthood, while coordinating with multiagency partners to ensure wrap-around support.

The role is part-time (19 hours weekly) with a starting pay of £13.00–£13.50 per hour and a welcome bonus.

Qualifications

• Level 3/4 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is desirable.
• Driving licence and access to own vehicle is required.
• Minimum age 19 years is required.
• DBS on Update Service is desirable.
• Willing and able to do Sleep In shifts is required.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside young people to promote independence and prepare them for adulthood.
• Coordinate with multiagency professionals to ensure wrap-around support and non-discrimination.
• Be a positive role model with strong written and verbal communication skills.

As a Support Worker your role will be to work alongside young people, actively promoting independence and preparing them to transition into adulthood.

Working on a multiagency basis and in partnership with internal and external professionals to ensure young people are given the correct wrap around support and are treated equally, as individuals, and without discrimination.

Experience & Qualifications

• Level 3/4 in Health & Social Care. (Desired)

Welcome bonus T&C's: Inicio Group reserves the right to reclaim the welcome bonus if the employee voluntarily leaves or is dismissed for misconduct within 12 months of their start date. Any reclaim will be calculated on a pro-rata basis at 1/12th of the total bonus for each full month not completed.
