Imagine a job where you can change someone's life by doing the things you take for granted.

As a Support Worker at Affinity Trust, you'll play an important role each day by supporting people to take part in the activities and experiences they value, helping them to live with confidence and independence.

It might be something simple like taking a walk to the shops to get a pint of milk; or something bigger like supporting someone to visit the gym for the first time, start a new hobby, or even take a trip abroad.

You’ll be supporting ladies and gentlemen across two locations in Staplehurst, helping each person to live the life they choose. The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities - going out for drives, visiting family, spending time with friends, trips to the cinema, shopping, bowling, and pub lunches. Your role will be to support them in doing the things that bring them joy, connection, and a sense of routine.

We provide complete training to enable you to provide the best support you can to people living with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs. What truly matters is your kindness, positivity, and desire to make a difference in someone's day.

Making a difference for those we support includes:

  • Allowing people to fulfil and enjoy their daily routines and achieve their goals
  • Building trust, connection, and independence
  • Supporting people to take part in social activities and community life - from cinema trips and bowling to shopping and pub lunches
  • Developing yourself alongside a compassionate, mindful, and dedicated team of colleagues
