Job summary

A leading educational support agency seeks candidates for a full-time position working with children who have Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism. Ideal candidates will have experience handling challenging behaviour and support requirements, providing vital interventions to ensure safety and well-being.

Must be experienced supporting Social Emotional and Mental Health, Autism and Complex Behavioural Needs

Full time - Temp to Perm

8:15 - 3:30 – Monday to Friday - Term Time Only!

Salary - £ - £ per hour

The role involves working on a 1:1 basis with children who have challenging behaviour, SEMH, Autism, and have been through the care system.

You will be required to provide individualised behaviour interventions and ensure the child’s safety at all times.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with challenging behaviour and SEMH in either an educational or alternative children’s provision. Support workers, youth workers, ex-prison/security staff, and children’s residential care workers are encouraged to apply.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has previous experience managing challenging behaviour in groups and/or on a 1:1 basis.
  • Has experience working with children, young people, or young adults with mental health needs, challenging behaviour, and Autism.
  • Is available immediately.
  • Holds a Clear Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce/Child and Adult Workforce) registered with the Update Service. If you don’t already have a DBS, assistance can be provided to apply for one.
  • Is available for full-time work – Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
