An established industry player in social care is seeking a Relief Support Worker to provide essential support to individuals in a Housing Support service. This role offers flexibility in choosing shifts while making a meaningful impact in people's lives. You'll assist with daily routines, promote healthy habits, and engage with the community. Join a caring team that values kindness and reliability, and be part of a mission that has been transforming lives for over 150 years. If you're passionate about making a difference and thrive in a supportive environment, this opportunity is perfect for you.
Want to make a difference, but need flexibility too? As a Relief Support Worker with CrossReach, you can do just that – choosing shifts that fit your life while helping others live theirs to the fullest.
You’ll work in a Housing Support service, stepping in to support people through day-to-day life. That might mean helping with routines, encouraging healthy habits, or simply being there for a chat. You could be checking in on someone’s wellbeing, helping them attend appointments, or supporting them with things like budgeting or getting involved in the community.
You’ll be part of a caring, professional team – but confident working on your own too. You’ll help keep things running smoothly in the unit, assist with paperwork and plans, and bring a calm, practical approach to whatever the day brings.
We’re looking for someone with basic computer skills and either an SVQ Level 2 in Social Care or a willingness to work towards Level 3. Experience in support work is ideal, but not essential – we value kindness, reliability and a genuine desire to help. You’ll also need to be able to work within our Christian ethos and be registered (or willing to register) with the SSSC.
If you’re calm, caring and up for making a real difference – one shift at a time – we’d love to hear from you.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
