Job summary

Mount View House in Syke near Rochdale, Greater Manchester, is seeking a Support Worker for a night shift (10pm–7:30am), four waking nights per week with rotational weekend work.

You will join a compassionate team supporting eight autistic residents, assisting with personal care, daily living tasks, activities and record-keeping to promote wellbeing, dignity and progress. Training is provided and a contributory pension and benefits are on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support work is desirable; training provided.
• Ability to work flexibly, including night shifts and weekends.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
• Encourage and assist participation in activities and community life.
• Support service users in achieving their personal outcomes in the way they choose.
• Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts, and daily notes.
• Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.

£13.75 per hour
Full Time – 38 hours

Mount View House has an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team.This is a nights role with 4 waking nights per week from 10pm - 7:30am. Rotational weekend work is included.

Mount View House is located in the village of Syke near Rochdale, in Greater Manchester. We are in a beautiful rural setting on the edge of Whitworth Moor in the South Pennines. Mount View offers residential support to eight autistic males and females. Although primarily for over 18s, we can support individuals who are 17 and moving from children’s services.

We can also support autistic individuals that also have a learning disability, or may present behaviours that challenge.

What you’ll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
