Job summary

Mount View House, located in the village of Syke near Rochdale, Greater Manchester, has an opportunity for a Support Worker. This is a nights role with 4 waking nights per week from 10pm to 7:30am, with rotational weekend work.

You will be part of a compassionate team supporting eight autistic residents, many 18+, with personalised care plans, daily living tasks, activities, and safeguarding. We provide training and clear development pathways within Priory.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or support work is desirable, but training is provided.
• A caring, respectful approach and good communication skills.
• Ability to work nights and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
• Encourage participation in activities and community life.
• Support service users in achieving personal outcomes.
• Maintain records, care plans, charts, and daily notes.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Uphold safety, security, and confidentiality in line with policies and regulations.

Department: Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers

Location: Mount View House

Compensation: £13.75 / hour

Working Hours: Full Time – 38 hours

Description

Mount View House has an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team. This is a nights role with 4 waking nights per week from 10pm - 7:30am. Rotational weekend work is included.

Mount View House is located in the village of Syke near Rochdale, in Greater Manchester. We are in a beautiful rural setting on the edge of Whitworth Moor in the South Pennines. Mount View offers residential support to eight autistic males and females. Although primarily for over 18s, we can support individuals who are 17 and moving from children’s services.

We can also support autistic individuals that also have a learning disability, or may present behaviours that challenge.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents
