Job summary

CYGNET is recruiting a confident Care & Support Worker at Dove Valley Mews in Barnsley to provide person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. You’ll work 42 hours weekly on 12-hour shifts, including alternate weekends and nights, to make a positive difference in residents’ lives.

You'll support daily living, help with welfare needs, encourage independence and participation in activities, and maintain a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Care experience in learning disabilities or mental health settings preferred.
• Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS check.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach.
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
• Assist with and report on medical & welfare needs.
• Safeguard and maintain a safe, clean environment for residents.
• Support service users to access the community and develop independence.
