The YOU Trust in Blackfield, New Forest is recruiting a Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities in a Supported Living setting. You’ll help with daily tasks, community outings and personal care where needed, delivering person-centred support to help clients live independently.
Flexibility to cover evenings, weekends and bank holidays is essential; prior experience with learning disabilities is helpful but training is provided.

We're recruiting for a Support Worker to join our Learning Disabilities Service in Blackfield, located in The New Forest. This is a great chance to help clients with learning disabilities manage different parts of their lives in a Supported Living setting. You'll be helping out with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, and getting out into the community. Some clients may also need help with personal care, including toileting.
Your role is to provide safe, person-centred support to boost our clients independence and help them live their lives the way they want to.
Every day is different in this job, so you'll need to be flexible, patient, caring, and kind. Having experience with clients who have learning disabilities is a plus, but it's not a must since we offer thorough training to help all our staff feel confident in their roles.
For this role, we're specifically looking for a Male Support Worker due to the personal care needs of our clients. However, we also have positions for Female workers in this service, advertised separately.,
We also have an in-house Bank Worker service called Premier Crew, and we're hiring Premier Crew workers for this service too, which is also advertised separately.

As mentioned above, experience working with people who have a learning disability is a plus, but it is not essential. You must be willing to work flexibly to help cover evening, weekend and bank holiday shifts. You need to be professional and proactive in all that you do, with a motivational, encouraging and supportive approach with clients and colleagues alike. We also want people who will share their successes and promote the excellence of the service wherever they go.
