Looking for a rewarding role where you can change lives and have some fun along the way? Join our friendly team in Warrington as a Support Worker (maternity cover, full-time) and help five brilliant men live life to the fullest.
You don't need to have prior experience - what truly matters is your kindness, your curiosity, and your genuine desire to learn. We're here to support you every step of the way with a comprehensive induction and continuous training, so you can feel empowered, confident, and excited to make a real difference.
You’ll be part of a team supporting five men with learning disabilities to live independently and do more of the things they love from trips to the park and listening to music, to catching up with friends or heading out on local adventures. Joe*, for example, loves the gym, bike rides, and shopping trips, and works a couple of days a week doing gardening and fixing up bikes. Sam* is passionate about arts and crafts, loves animals, theme parks, and watching planes take off at Manchester Airport. They're independent, active, and full of personality. Could you help them stay connected to the people and things they love?
You’ll support people in their day-to-day lives, which could include helping out with morning routines, planning fun activities, cooking together, or supporting with appointments and errands. We’re looking for someone who’s patient, upbeat, and ready to come up with ideas for meaningful (and enjoyable!) ways to spend the day. You’ll also need to be a clear communicator who can offer reassurance and encouragement when it’s needed.
This role includes occasional sleep-in shifts, where you stay overnight to offer support if needed. These are paid at £60 per night.
Someone who’s caring, open, and up for learning new things
A full UK manual driving licence your ability to drive unlocks adventures further afield
A team player who values inclusion and celebrates individuality
You’ll also get access to great benefits including the Blue Light discount card, generous holiday allowance, and full training and support from day one.
