Job summary

Cygnet Healthcare is seeking Female Support Workers to join the team at Cygnet Ashbrook in Birmingham. You’ll work 42 hours a week, days and nights, including alternate weekends, to support individuals with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.

A full UK driving licence is required to transport service users to activities. DBS checks are enhanced; various benefits are offered under the scheme.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a support setting with learning disabilities
• Excellent communicator and good teamwork
• Caring and energetic to provide a supportive environment
• Passionate about empowering service users’ independence

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical and welfare needs
• Report on medical and welfare needs as required
• Safeguard all patients
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
