Job summary

Cygnet is hiring a Support Worker (Learning Disabilities) at Oakhurst Lodge. You’ll support adults with autism and learning disabilities, promoting independence and community integration across a 42-hour contract with 12-hour day shifts on a 7-day rota.

We provide training, induction and ongoing development. Expect meaningful daily work, a caring team, and opportunities to grow within a nationwide care provider.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities in a care setting.
• Understanding of behaviours that may challenge and a proactive support approach.

• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.

About the Role

Looking for a stable, rewarding career with great variety? Join our team on a 42-hour permanent contract, working 12-hour day shifts across a 7-day rota.

What to expect:

• Full-time permanent employment
• 12-hour day shifts
• Around two weekends per month
• Early shifts from 7:00 am
• Later shifts finishing by 10:00 pm

Oakhurst Lodge is an 8-placement specialist residential service for adults with autism and learning disabilities who may present with behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.
