Job summary

Cygnet is recruiting for full‑time Support Workers at Broughton House, a 29-bed specialist service for adults with complex needs. You will work 42 hours weekly on rolling 2-week shifts, with a pattern that includes 7.45am–7.45pm days. A driver or own transport is required due to the remote location.

Salary starts at £13.15 per hour and rises to £13.45 after 3 months, with paid training, ongoing coaching and a pension. DBS check is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Driver or own transport required due to service location.
• Must have DBS check completed.
• No sponsorship; visa must have more than 12 months remaining.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all residents.
• Provide guidance and emotional support to service users.
• Learn individuals' needs and assist in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical and welfare needs as required.
• Report on medical and welfare needs as required.
• Safeguard residents and maintain a safe, clean environment.

Broughton House is a 29 bed specialist residential service for adults with severe learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.

We are currently recruiting for full time Support Workers with a passion for delivering outstanding care who are looking to make a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care.

You’ll be working 42 hours a week, covering 12 hour shifts on a rolling 2 week rota following the below shift pattern;

Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun (7.45am to 7.45pm)

Week 2 - Wed, Thurs (7.45am to 7.45pm)

Due to the remote location of the service and lack of public transport, applicants must be a driver or have own means of transport.

Please note: We do not offer Sponsorship for this role and you must have over 12 months remaining on your current visa to be considered.
