Job summary

Nottingham Community Housing Association in Worksop is seeking compassionate and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our friendly Supported Living Team. You will support adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism and complex behaviours to live independently, promoting choice, dignity and wellbeing.

Our Worksop service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with shifts including early, late, sleep-in and rota-based weekend work.

Qualifications

  • A caring, adaptable and resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Positive attitude and genuine commitment to improving people’s lives.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Full UK driving licence unless disability precludes this.
  • Previous experience in a care or support role is desirable but training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents with daily living tasks including cooking, cleaning and personal care.
  • Help individuals access community activities, social opportunities and leisure pursuits.
  • Assist with appointments, shopping, finances and medication support.
  • Promote independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to person-centred support plans.
