Job summary

Voyage Care in Retford is seeking a caring and hands-on Support Worker to help residents gain more independence in daily life. You’ll work as part of a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people, assisting with personal care, community access and activities.

Typical shifts include 7am-2pm or 2pm-10pm, with enhanced pay for evenings and weekends, overtime premiums and access to Wagestream. A full UK driving license and DBS checks are required; training and progression opportunities are

Qualifications

Must hold a full UK driving license.
Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans.
Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and trauma.
Demonstrates resilience, flexibility and composure in approach.

Responsibilities

Help people gain more independence in their daily lives.
Assist with personal care and daily activities.
Encourage access to local communities and socialise with the people we support.
Plan and participate in activities, including outings to bars, pubs, games and films.
Support goal setting, confidence building and progression toward personal aims.
