Job summary

Hft is recruiting a Support Worker to empower learning disabled adults to live life their way. You will support independence, help with daily activities, and promote health and wellbeing within a warm, inclusive team.

We value patience, strong communication, and a positive attitude. The role may include evenings, weekends and sleep-ins, with training and career development opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Patience and respectful approach to learning disabled adults.
• Excellent communication to build trusting relationships.
• Willingness to learn and pursue Health and Social Care qualification.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Empower independence, choice and dignity for people.
• Encourage participation in social, leisure, work and community activities.
• Promote health, safety and wellbeing while respecting decisions.
• Support people to attend health appointments and manage medication.
• Build independence and confidence through skills development.
• Assist with daily living and personal care when needed.
• Keep accurate records and follow safeguarding practices.
