Job summary

Priory Group is hiring a Support Worker for flexible days, nights, or sleep shifts in Whitby and Scarborough. The role is full-time (36 hours) with a pay rate of £13.45 per hour. You will provide person-centred care to help individuals live independently within the community, supporting routines and access to local activities.

We value caring, compassionate team players who communicate well and are reliable. Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as training is provided.

Priory Supported Living Whitby and Scarborough has an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our team.

Priory Supported Living Whitby and Scarborough provide supported living services for people with a variety of support needs, conditions and presentations. This includes people who are autistic, have a learning disability or mental health needs. Our specialist support enables people to live happy and fulfilling lives in their own homes within their community.

What you'll be doing

As a Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred support to help the people we support live as independently as possible and enjoy the things that matter to them. Your role could include:

• Supporting individuals with their daily routines and activities
• Promoting independence, choice, dignity and wellbeing
• Supporting people to access the local community, appointments and activities
• Building positive and trusting relationships
• Following individual support plans and maintaining accurate records
• Working closely with colleagues, families and other professionals
• Encouraging and supporting people to achieve their personal goals
