Job summary

Voyage Care is looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join the Freshfields team in Waterbeach, Cambridge. You will support four individuals with diverse needs, providing companionship, daily living assistance and opportunities for new experiences within a friendly, collaborative service.

Typical shifts are 7am-2pm and 2pm-9pm plus Sleep In. The service offers full training and progression, DBS checks, and a strong community link.

Qualifications

• UK DBS/DBS checks and references required
• Full training and continued development provided
• UK Driving Licence (DL) required

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive, person‑centred care to individuals with learning disabilities, epilepsy, autism, dementia or cerebral palsy
• Assist with daily living activities and community integration
• Work as part of a team to maintain a welcoming, safe and supportive environment
• Deliver according to care plans and liaise with carers and health professionals

Waterbeach supports four individuals who have been in the Service for many years. The people we support at this service have conditions such as Learning Disabilities, Epilepsy, Autism, Dementia and Cerebral Palsy. Full training and continued development is available to meet the high level of health needs.

The service has excellent relationships with the local community enjoy visiting the botanical gardens in Cambridge, bowling, swimming, to the local pub, to the village carnival and accessing local shops. We liaise with the local GP surgery and Community Nurses to ensure all needs are met , this collaborative approach ensures the people we support receive a high standard of care.
