Job summary

CareTech UK Ltd is seeking a Female Support Worker in Ramsgate to deliver person-centred care at Hereson House. You will assist with daily living tasks, promote independence and support community activities. Full training and induction are provided, with rota patterns including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.

Applicants should be caring, reliable and able to work in a team, with good communication skills and basic IT/written abilities. DBS required and full-time hours offered.

Female Support Worker

Location: Ramsgate, Kent

Rate: £13.03 per hour

Permanent | Full-time | 37.5 hours per week (rota-based)

The Role

You will:

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required

• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep‑ins

About the Service – Hereson House

Hereson House provides care and support for up to 19 adults and is made up of 5 shared flats within 2 buildings with an established friendly team located close to the beach.

Good parking facilities onsite with local transport.

Service User Interests

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.

Requirements

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Drivers desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
