Job summary

CareTech UK Ltd in Deal, Kent is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead and supervise a team delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care for eight residents at Goodwins. You will ensure care plans are followed, updated and that records are accurate, including incident reports and reviews.

The role is permanent, full‑time (37.5 hours per week) on a rota, with Senior On‑Call duties as required. We offer a competitive hourly rate (£14.03) plus sleep‑in payments (£78.30), DBS paid for, a benefits

Qualifications

• Lead and supervise a team of Support Workers, providing guidance and day-to-day direction (≤140 chars)
• Deliver and oversee high-quality, person-centred support, ensuring plans are followed, reviewed, and updated
• Coordinate and participate in meaningful activities, appointments, and community engagement
• Maintain high standards of record-keeping, completing documentation, incident reports, and reviews
• Participate in Senior On-Call rota, responding to staff queries and operational needs

Rate: £14.03 per hour + £78.30 per sleep-in

About the Service - Goodwins

Goodwins is situated in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of the historical coastal town of Deal. Staff are committed to providing high quality, person centred care and support for the 8 residents. The service has shown continuous improvement over a number of years, which culminated in receiving an outstanding rating from CQC in November 2018.

Service User Interests

The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Wake Night Support Workers play a vital role in enabling experiences.

The Role

• Lead and supervise a team of Support Workers, providing guidance, role‑modelling, and day‑to‑day direction.
• Deliver and oversee high‑quality, person‑centred support, ensuring support plans are followed, reviewed, and updated.
• Coordinate and participate in meaningful activities, appointments, and community engagement for the people we support.
• Maintain high standards of record‑keeping, completing documentation, incident reports, and reviews professionally.
• Participate in the Senior On‑Call rota, responding to staff queries, incidents, and operational needs as required.

Requirements

• Willingness to work towards Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Drivers desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
