Job summary

Chailey Heritage Foundation is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide hands-on care for children and young people with complex disabilities. The role emphasizes safety, respect, and personalised support within a warm, inclusive environment.

You will help with daily routines, mobility, meals, and activities, while complying with safeguarding and DBS requirements. Training and progression opportunities are available as part of a values-led team.

Qualifications

• Experience in care is beneficial for supporting children and young people with disabilities.
• Ability to work flexibly across shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Willingness to drive Foundation vehicles is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care and personal support tailored to individual needs.
• Support health, wellbeing, eating, medication, and epilepsy management.
• Assist with mobility and use of equipment to maintain dignity.
• Encourage activities and outings to promote engagement and learning.
