Job summary

Paragon Social Care is seeking Children's Support Workers to support vulnerable children in local authority care. You will provide trauma-informed care, build positive relationships, support education, meals, and life skills while advocating for young people.

Experience with children or volunteering helps; a UK driving licence and own vehicle are preferred. DBS check required or willingness to obtain. This role offers flexible shifts and progression opportunities.

Your Role

Every day is different, but you will:

  • Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care
  • Build positive relationships and encourage healthy routines
  • Prepare meals, support education, and develop life skills
  • Advocate for young people and ensure their voices are heard
  • Support medical appointments and community activities
  • Transport young people using your own vehicle when required
  • Help them move confidently towards independence
What We're Looking For
  • Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary)
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience
  • Flexibility to work waking nights, weekends, and sleep-ins when required
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

An NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
