Job summary

Head First is seeking a reliable Support Worker in Horsham to help a young male client with cerebral palsy live an active, independent life. You will drive the client’s automatic vehicle, support daily routines and attend community activities, working with a compassionate team.

The role offers a permanent contract, 30 hours per week (3:00 pm–9:00 pm, Monday to Friday) in Horsham. A full UK driving licence and good communication skills are essential, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Excellent communication skills and reliability.
• Experience in care or support roles is beneficial but not essential; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support the client with personal care and daily routines.
• Assist with mobility and community outings.
• Drive the client’s automatic vehicle for activities and appointments.
• Accompany the client to social and community events.
• Encourage independence, choice and participation in activities.
• Support hobbies and leisure activities as part of a wider team.
• Work as part of a supportive care team.
• Full training will be provided for those new to care.

A full UK driving licence is essential, as you'll be required to drive the client's automatic vehicle to support outings, appointments and social activities.

About The Client

Our client is sociable and enjoys:

• Spending time with others and having a chat

He uses a wheelchair when out and about but can walk short distances with support and a walking aid.

About The Role

No two days are the same. You'll support the client to live as independently as possible and take part in the activities he enjoys.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
