Job summary

Priory Group in Belfast's Shaw's Bridge area is seeking a Support Worker at River House. This permanent, full-time role (38.5 hours) pays £13.45 per hour and requires a full driving licence held for at least three years.

You will join a compassionate team, supporting residents on the autism spectrum or with learning disabilities, assisting with personal care, activities, and care plans under supervision. A flexible, patient approach and good communication are essential; training and progression

Qualifications

• Full driving license held for at least 3 years.
• Ability to work shift patterns.
• Good knowledge of and experience in health and social care settings.
• Caring and respectful approach to supporting others.
• Ability to work flexibly and think innovatively.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to upholding professional standards, policies and procedures.
• Experience in care or support work (desirable; training provided).

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable, friendly, compassionate support to help residents achieve daily goals, including personal care.
• Encourage participation in in-house activities and hobbies to promote engagement and wellbeing.
• Stay attentive to residents' needs and motivate them to reach their full potential.
• Assist qualified staff with assessment and implementation of individual care plans.
