Job summary

Creative Support in Fleetwood, Lancashire, is seeking enthusiastic Support Workers to empower residents with learning disabilities and complex needs. You will provide person-centered, outcome-focused care to help residents build skills and independence.

We offer a structured induction and progression pathways within a values-led framework, with opportunities to grow from entry-level to leadership roles. Driving licence is essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing care and support to people with housing-related support needs is essential.
  • Ability to work flexibly including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Clean, valid driving licence with access to a car is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting residents to improve their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
  • Helping people sustain their tenancies and reduce the risk of homelessness
  • Encouraging the development of independent living skills, including budgeting, money management, and maintaining a safe home environment.
  • Supporting individuals to engage with landlords, accommodation providers.
  • Signposting residents to other services that can help meet their needs.
  • Supporting individuals with substance-misuse related issues where appropriate.
  • Assisting people to access opportunities such as education, employment, training, healthcare, and community opportunities.

Job description

We are looking to welcome caring and enthusiastic Support Workers to our friendly learning disabilities and complex needs team in Fleetwood, Lancashire.

As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centered, outcome-focused that enables residents to develop the skills, confidence and resilience they need to live as independently as possible. You will play a key role in empowering residents to live fulfilling and meaningful lives. You will support residents to develop the skills and confidence needed in order to make progress towards greater independence.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting residents to improve their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
  • Helping people sustain their tenancies and reduce the risk of homelessness
  • Encouraging the development of independent living skills, including budgeting, money management, and maintaining a safe home environment.
  • Supporting individuals to engage with landlords, accommodation providers.
  • Signposting residents to other services that can help meet their needs.
  • Supporting individuals with substance-misuse related issues where appropriate.

Full-time and part-time hours available. To be worked flexibly according to the needs of the service, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Experience providing care and support to people with housing-related support needs is essential.

A clean, valid driving license with access to a care is essential for this role.
