Job summary

Creative Support is looking for calm, resourceful and energetic Support Workers to join our Barnet team. You will support individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs in a proactive, person-centred approach.

No prior care experience is required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are valued. A full driving licence is essential, held for at least 12 months, and you will help service users access work, education and social opportunities.

We are looking for calm, resourceful and energetic Support Workers who are highly motivated, hardworking, and keen to join our team in Barnet, London. You will support individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs in a proactive and holistic person-centred approach.

You must be willing to embrace all aspects of the Support Worker role including, but not limited to, providing support with personal care and domestic tasks and supporting individuals to access work, education and social opportunities. We value the personal skills and interests you bring to the role and to the lives of the people we support, such as, sports and outdoor pursuits, creative arts, music and cooking, to name but a few.

You will have well-honed skills in positive communication and engagement, and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for all service users. You will support our service users to maintain a healthy state of wellbeing mentally, physically and emotionally. Alongside service users' circle of support, you will work to empower individuals to be happy, healthy and successful in achieving their life goals.

No previous care experience is needed - we value an enthusiastic, creative, and person-centred approach above all. The ideal candidate will have skills in positive communication and engagement, and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support.

A full, clean driving licence is an essential requirement for this role, and must have been held for a minimum of 12 months.
