Job summary

Milestone Support Services, part of Natali Healthcare Solutions UK group, is hiring Support Workers to assist individuals with complex needs in Gosport and Fareham. Your role includes promoting independence, assisting with daily living, and encouraging participation in activities.

You’ll work flexible shifts, including weekends, with full UK driving licence essential. Training is provided, and you’ll join a team dedicated to person-centred care, safeguarding, and enabling residents to live well

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Experience providing high-quality personal care while promoting dignity, choice and independence.
  • Ability to motivate and empower individuals to build life skills.
  • Knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and safeguarding.
  • Knowledge of moving and handling, infection prevention and health and safety.
  • Confident, calm and consistent in approach.
  • Resilient, optimistic and positive.
  • Creative and flexible in delivering support.
  • Value teamwork and reflective practice.
  • Experience in supported living, learning disability, autism or mental health services desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
  • Full Right to Work in the UK.

  • Supporting healthy lifestyles, including activities, nutrition, and hydration.
  • Encouraging community involvement, such as work, education, social groups, and leisure activities.
  • Supporting individuals to go on holiday and attend events.
  • Promoting safety and wellbeing at home and in the community.
  • Supporting individuals to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Managing and reducing risks while promoting positive risk-taking.
  • Supporting emotional regulation and responding appropriately on challenging days.
  • Implementing support strategies for behaviours that may challenge, in line with PBS plans.
  • Assisting with daily living skills, including shopping, budgeting, and money management.
  • Supporting male and female clients with personal care (bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding, etc).

About The Role
Key Information

Pay Rate: £12.89-£13.40/hour

Hours: Flexible part-time or full-time shifts available

Weekend Work: Weekend availability required (flexible rota)

What You'll Be Doing

Who We're Looking For
  • Have experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge
  • Previous experience providing high-quality personal care, always promoting dignity, choice, and independence.
  • The enthusiasm to motivate and empower individuals to try new experiences, develop life skills, build confidence, and maintain an active lifestyle.
  • A sound understanding of person-centred care and the ability to work in accordance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Fundamental Standards, delivering safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led support.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, moving and handling, infection prevention and control, and health and safety.
  • Are confident, calm, and consistent in their approach
  • Are resilient, optimistic, and positive
  • Are creative and flexible in how they provide support
  • Value teamwork and reflective practice
  • Experience within supported living, learning disability, autism, or mental health services is highly desirable.
  • A full UK driving licence isessential, as the role involves transporting and supporting individuals to attend appointments, access the local community, and enjoy a wide range of activities.
