Affinity Trust is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs across Blean, Whitstable and Herne Bay. The role involves day shifts and waking nights, supporting activities that bring joy, connection and routine.
No prior experience is required as full training is provided, including NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care. A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential for this role.
Support Worker (Days & Waking Nights)
Blean, with shifts in Whitstable and Herne Bay as required
£13.00 per hour (currently £12.75, increasing to £13.00 on 26th October)
Full-time (37.5 hrs per week)
Contract: Permanent
Full training provided + NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
Full UK driving licence and access to a car
You’ll be supporting ladies and gentlemen across our locations in Blean, Whitstable, and Herne Bay. The people we support enjoy going for long walks, swimming, cinema trips, relaxing in the back garden, shopping, music, going for drives, golf, and theme parks. Your role will be to support them in doing the things that bring them joy, connection, and a sense of routine.
This role involves a mix of day shifts and waking nights (maximum of 3 waking nights per week). During waking nights, you’ll remain awake to provide support and reassurance, helping people feel safe and settled. Day shifts will focus on supporting people with their daily routines and community activities.
