Job summary

Mencap is seeking a Female Support Worker to join our team in Buckfastleigh & Newton Abbot. You will assist individuals with learning disabilities in daily activities, provide emotional support, and help with personal care, medications, and finances as part of a holistic care plan.

The role includes day trips and activities such as gym, holidays, and horse riding, with shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities and personal care.

• Support with medication, finance, food and hygiene as part of day‑to‑day care.
• Manage challenging behaviour and ensure safety at all times.
• Support day trips, gym, holidays and other activities.
