Job summary

Mencap is seeking a compassionate Part Time Support Worker in Newhaven. You’ll support individuals with learning disabilities with daily activities, both at home and in the community, helping them live as independently as possible.

Key qualities include empathy, excellent communication, flexibility for shifts, and a collaborative approach with families and professionals. DBS checks and references are required, with a non-contractual sleep-in option and a pro-rata salary package.

• A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and collaborate with colleagues, professionals, and families to ensure best possible person-centred support
