As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

The people within the service have a busy schedule and love to be out and about but will require support when going out in the community. The adults we support enjoy a variety of hobbies and activities.

From our outreach service in Brighton and Hove we support 43 people across the city – offering a real variety in both personalities and experiences of the people we support, which allows us to clearly focus on our person centred approach.

The people we support in Brighton & Hove see many things as being important to them, be it through supporting them in adult life with a large variety of activities and developing both existing and new skills. You will be supporting people with their daily living tasks with things like finances, shopping for all things and healthy menu planning. You will also support individuals with their hobbies, be it through swimming, hosting parties or baking –who doesn’t enjoy a cheeky slice of cake?

Flexibility is important as support is delivered throughout the day, with shifts spread across morning, afternoons and evenings. You will be required to work some weekends and some bank holidays.

What we're looking for:
  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.

Contract options:

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.

Our benefits package offers 24 days of paid holiday (including bank holidays, pro rata), along with a range of perks such as choice of pension schemes, discounts at leading high-street retailers, access to health cash plans, interest-free loans, and many more exciting offerings..

*T&Cs apply based on contract.
