Job summary

Parc Lodge in Bridgend, South Wales, part of Keys Group, is seeking a dedicated Support Worker. The role involves day-to-day support for adults with mental health needs, helping residents live independently and engage in activities. Full training is provided, with shifts covering days and nights.

Salary is £13.45–£14.15 per hour for 35 hours per week, with DBS paid and opportunities for career development. No prior care sector experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Full UK Driving Licence is required.
  • Flexible to work days and nights.
  • Experience in care is not required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support and routine for residents at Parc Lodge.
  • Encourage independence and help residents pursue meaningful activities.
  • Support personal care and health needs, including accompanying to appointments and medication administration.
  • Assist with budgeting, shopping, and everyday tasks.
  • Support development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Assist with domestic tasks such as cleaning and cooking.
  • Provide emotional and practical support to residents.

About Parc Lodge

Parc Lodge is a specialist residential service in Bridgend, South Wales supporting up to 10 adults with a range of mental health needs.

The service also supports individuals with secondary diagnoses such as learning disabilities, autism and physical health needs, alongside those with forensic histories, with a clear focus on rehabilitation and progression towards more independent living.

As a Support Worker, You Will Be Involved In The Day-to-day Support And Routine Of The People Within The Service Including

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.

Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development
