Job summary

Bay View Lodge, operated by Accomplish Group, seeks a Support Worker to assist individuals with learning disabilities and autism in daily routines and activities. You will provide person-centered support to help residents gain independence and participate in community life.

Role requires flexibility to cover daytime and nighttime shifts, and a full UK manual driving license. DBS checks are provided, with opportunities for QCF qualifications and career development.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
• Promoting independence and helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting and encouraging development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining health care needs and accompanying to routine appointments or administering medication.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
• Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.

LOCATION: Barry (CF62)

SALARY: £14.05 - £14.75* per hour

HOURS: 35 hours per week

SHIFT PATTERNS: 7:30am – 8:00pm, 8:30am - 9:00pm, 9:30am – 10:00pm, 8:00pm – 7:30am

REQUIREMENTS: Full UK Manual Driving License & flexibility to cover days and nights, as and when required.

As a Support Worker, You Will Be Involved In The Day-to-day Support And Routine Of The People Within The Service Including
