Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for Bay View Lodge in Barry, Wales. The role focuses on person-centered, flexible support for individuals with learning disabilities and autism, aiming to promote independence and meaningful living.

You will participate in daily routines, encourage life skills, and assist with health care needs, appointments, and medication administration. A Full UK driving license is required, with flexibility for days and nights as needed.

• Full UK manual driving license required.
• Flexibility to cover day and night shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day support and routine for the people we support.
• Promote independence while helping them live fulfilling lives.
• Support development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintain health care needs, accompany to appointments, administer medication.
• Teach life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
• Assist with personal care as required.
• Assist with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service including:

• Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
• Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
• Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
