Community Integrated Care in the United Kingdom is seeking a friendly bank staff Support Worker to help adults live independently in their own apartments. You’ll work flexible shifts, build real connections, and support people with daily activities and social engagement.
No previous care experience is required; your values matter. We offer DBS check covered, training, benefits, and a supportive team that puts wellbeing first.
Are you a caring and compassionate person looking to build a great career in social care? Are you looking for bank/casual hours to work around your other commitments? Do you love helping people get the best out of their lives? Then maybe a Support Worker role is for you!
Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We transform lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment. Our charity was founded in 1988 and we were one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community’ agenda, enabling people to move out of long-stay institutions and live more fulfilling lives. Since then, we’ve remained leaders in social care, providing bespoke support to thousands across the UK. Today, we support more than 2,600 people and employ 6,600 caring and committed colleagues across England and Scotland. We have a proud history of breaking boundaries and are always looking for new ways to make a positive difference through bold ideas, innovative projects and impactful partnerships.
This is a truly rewarding opportunity to support a group of independent and vibrant individuals who live in their own self-contained apartments, with access to a shared lounge and kitchen where they love to socialise, cook, and relax together.
You’ll be part of a close-knit, experienced team who are passionate about creating an inclusive, and empowering environment. This role is hands-on and dynamic — you’ll need to be calm, resilient, and confident in supporting people with emotional needs and behaviours that can be verbally or physically challenging. But you’ll also be part of something truly special: helping people live their best lives, every single day. We are recruiting for bank staff to support during periods of annual leave / sickness, with flexible availability to work a variety of shifts (ideally, availability for some sleep-in shifts too!) Candidates with a full UK (manual) driving licence are strongly encouraged to apply.
You don’t need previous experience in care to be a great Support Worker — what matters most is your values and your passion for helping others. We’re looking for people who are:
Whether you’ve worked in care before, supported a loved one, or are simply someone who wants to make a difference — we’d love to hear from you. We live by our values every day: We Include We Deliver We Aspire We Respect We Enable
At Community Integrated Care, we’re committed to being a truly inclusive employer where everyone feels they belong. Our A Place I Belong strategy sets out our promises to build a fair, diverse, and welcoming workplace — one that reflects the communities we serve and celebrates every individual’s uniqueness. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunities and Disability Confident employer.
