Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a Support Worker for Ashcombe Court in Weston-super-Mare on a maternity cover basis. You will provide day-to-day support, help residents maintain independence and participate in activities, and assist with healthcare needs, medication, budgeting and daily tasks.

No prior care sector experience is required as full training and development are provided, with a strong focus on safeguarding and person-centred care. Applicants must be 18+ and DBS paid by Keys Group.

Qualifications

Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development.
Applicants must be over 18 due to the vulnerable nature of those served.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administering medication.
Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
Assisting with personal care as required.
Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.

About Ashcombe Court:

Ashcombe Court supports an 8 bedded home for Mental health, Autism, Acquire Brain injury and Learning disabilities as well as support with everyday living skills like shopping, cleaning and cooking our staff support people to have fun and make every day the best it can be for each person.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service including:
