Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a Support Worker for Ashcombe Court in Weston-super-Mare on a maternity cover. You will support residents with daily living tasks and promote independence, with full training provided.

The role involves 35 hours per week in an 8-bed home for mental health, autism, brain injury and learning disabilities, including health needs, shopping, cooking, personal care and encouraging activity.

Qualifications

• Care sector experience not required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day support and routine for the people we support.
• Promoting independence while helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Developing personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining health care needs, including accompanying routine appointments or administering medication.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning and cooking.
• Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support.
