Job Overview

Our team at Brookstreet Social Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join us in providing high-quality care and support across various services in the Northeast. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.

Salary: Dependent on location and service

We offer services supporting Adults and Children from diverse backgrounds, including:

• Homelessness
• Drug and alcohol abuse
• Education

Locations include:

• Newcastle
• Gateshead
• Sunderland
• Middlesbrough

Responsibilities

• Care and Support: Provide high-quality, person-centred care, meeting physical, emotional, and social needs. Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meals, and leisure.
• Safeguarding and Safety: Follow safeguarding policies to protect service users.
• Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records, care plans, incident reports, and logs. Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and external agencies.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and stay updated on best practices. We offer specialised training with our internal team.

Qualifications and Experience

• DBS on the update service for Adults and/or Children
• Experience in residential or respite care
• Understanding of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
• Driving licence
