Job summary

Portman Recruitment is expanding its local bank of experienced Support Workers for current and upcoming assignments across Basingstoke and Chineham. You will support adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and associated complex needs.

Qualifications

• Recent professional care or support-work experience required.
• Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care desirable but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence strongly preferred.
• Right to work in the UK, satisfactory references, enhanced DBS and mandatory training evidence needed.

You will support adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and associated complex needs. The role may include personal care, medication support, household tasks, community activities and helping people develop greater independence.

We are looking for Support Workers who are:

• Caring, patient and respectful
• Confident supporting people with varied and complex needs
• Able to remain calm during challenging situations
• Reliable and able to work as part of a team
• Available for a mixture of days, evenings, weekends or waking nights

Applicants should have recent professional care or support-work experience. A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential.

A full UK driving licence is strongly preferred.

You will also need the right to work in the UK, satisfactory references, an enhanced DBS and evidence of relevant mandatory training.
