Job summary

Voyage Care is hiring a Support Worker in Wisbech. You’ll help people gain more independence in daily life, working within a dynamic team to support a group of individuals in a supported living service.

You’ll teach life skills, assist with personal care and encourage community access, with varied activities such as swimming or arts and crafts. DBS checks and a full UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with autism is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and daily living activities to promote independence.
• Support individuals with developing life skills and engaging in community activities.
• Plan and participate in leisure activities, outings, swimming, arts and crafts as part of daily routine.

Our supported living service Highfield Rd in Gorefield Wisbech are welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in taking them swimming or doing arts and crafts

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to some one's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals with autism,
