Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking compassionate Support Workers for our Leicester service. You will help people gain independence, support daily living activities and encourage involvement in local communities. The role involves personal care, social activities and a range of planned outings with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support Plans and reflective practice; experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions and autism.

• Assist with personal care and encourage community access, socialising and activities.
• Work with a dynamic team to support a group of individuals in a Leicester-based service.

Support Worker – Leicester City, £12.72ph plus enhancements

Typical Shifts are Mon-Sun 7:00am - 2:30pm / 2:30pm - 10pm

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Female/Male Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our supported living service in Leicester is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

We're interested in our support Workers having both the right experience and the right values.
