Job description

Support Worker

Every day is an opportunity to create impact, joy, and independence for the people we support. Your work, whether direct, or behind the scenes, contributes to unforgettable moments that change lives.

Thanks to our amazing teams, Dimensions Group has been accredited as a Great Place to Work for 2026 — our eighth consecutive year of recognition.

About the role

Support Worker

Part time - 22.5 hours per week.

Potter Heigham, Norwich, NR29

Full UK driving licence essential.

We are looking for a Support Worker to join our established team supporting three gentlemen, aged between their 40s and 60s, who live together in their own supported living home in Potter Heigham.

The gentlemen lead active and varied lives and enjoy getting out and about in their local town. Their interests include playing pool and snooker, visiting social clubs, shopping, walking in the woods, spending time at the beach, swimming, and attending local groups. One gentleman particularly enjoys being outdoors and likes to get out every day, so this role would suit someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and being outside in all seasons.

No two days are the same. You'll support people to achieve their goals, maintain their independence, and take part in things that are important to them. This could include supporting with daily living skills, meal preparation, household tasks, shopping, managing appointments, medication, and developing new experiences and opportunities.

The role includes some personal care support, delivered in a respectful and person-centred way. You'll also receive training to support with medication administration, including insulin, so you'll need to be comfortable learning and undertaking health related tasks.

Shifts - Flexibility is important as shifts vary according to the people we support and their week. Shifts include: early shifts (starting between 8am and 10am), late shifts (typically 2:30pm to 10pm), long days and sleep‑in shifts. You will be expected to work alternate weekends.

About you
  • Passionate about supporting people to live great lives.
  • Able to build positive relationships and communicate effectively.
  • Motivated to encourage independence, choice and control.
  • Adaptable, reliable, and able to respond positively to changing needs.
  • Confident working as part of a team, while also being comfortable lone working when required.
  • Comfortable learning how to administer insulin following full training.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential, and you must be confident driving both manual and automatic vehicles.

Previous experience is welcome but not essential. What matters most is your values, enthusiasm, and commitment to helping people live the life they choose.

Rewards that make a difference
  • A competitive payrate with uplift for overtime you chose to work
  • Flexible shift patterns to suit your needs
  • 30 days paid Annual Leave (including public holidays - pro rata)
  • Opportunities for career progression
  • Supported 'Learn to Drive' scheme (up to 30 driving lessons, 1 theory/practical test - all paid for by us)
  • We offer a salary advance scheme where you can access up to 50% of the money you've earned before payday.
  • High Street Discounts - Retail and Entertainment (supermarkets, hospitality, pubs, cinema etc.)
  • Life Assurance and Company Pension
  • Industry leading training
  • Enhanced DBS paid for by us

An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role, the cost of which will be incurred by Dimensions.

If a driving licence is required for this role you will need to produce a copy of the driving licence at the onboarding stage.
