Job summary

Community Integrated Care is recruiting a part-time Support Worker (16 hours) to assist a gentleman in his own home near Wick. You will provide daily support, participate in his activities, and help him engage with the local community.

The role requires a driver with access to a vehicle and a warm, positive approach. Training, development, and ongoing support are provided as part of our inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• UK driving license is required and own vehicle preferred.
• Experience supporting a person with learning disabilities is desirable.
• Approachable, positive and outgoing with a good sense of humour.

Responsibilities

• Support a gentleman living independently in his own home.
• Engage in activities the gentleman enjoys (outdoors, swimming, cycling, arts and crafts, cooking).
• Travel with the gentleman for community activities by car or public transport.
• Provide companionship and encouragement, promoting choice, dignity and respect.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

We are currently recruiting for a part-time (16 hour) team member to support a gentleman living independently in his own home in the village of Reiss close to Wick.

As well as support within the home, he enjoys being outdoors and exploring the community on foot, by public transport and in the car. He participates in a wide range of activities including swimming, cycling, playing darts and pool, gardening and arts and crafts. He is also keen on cooking and baking and listening to music and spending time with family which is important to him.

He is looking for support workers who are driven, positive and outgoing with a good sense of humour, who have experience of supporting a person with learning disabilities

Due to the nature of the location and activities, we are seeking someone who is a driver with access to their own vehicle.

To ensure you can support this gentleman with his activities, our shifts are:

• 9am - 3pm (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday)
• 9am - 12 noon, 6pm - 9pm (On the last Monday of every month)
