Job summary

Active Care Group is hiring Support Workers for Norton Court House, a specialist service for children and young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. You will help develop social and life skills, learn on the job, and work towards Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare after probation.

The role offers pro rata annual pay of £27,609.72, with day and night shifts, including every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in providing person-centred care for children and young people.
• Minimum UK residence of 2 years and 9 months.
• At least 9 months experience in child care; experience with Autism/LD is a plus.
• Willingness to work towards Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with children and young people.
• Establish effective communication with children and young people.
• Assist with mealtimes where necessary.
• Support activities of daily living and personal care.
• Report and record work activities to the on-shift team leader.
