Job summary

Agincare is seeking support workers to help young individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and complex needs. You will provide person-centred support in community-based settings and homes, promoting independence and positive outcomes.

Join a team dedicated to compassionate care across Leicestershire. You will engage in daily living activities, maintain records, and work with colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality support.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health conditions is desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
• Commitment to person-centred care and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and complex needs in daily activities.
• Encourage independence and participation in local community activities.
• Record changes in health or circumstances and report to management.
• Work as part of a team and use initiative when appropriate.

You will need to be enthusiastic, have great people skills, and a positive and proactive approach to your role, supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs.

Where you’ll be working:

This is a unique service within Leicestershire supporting 9 people, where we offer supportive living, enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community.

We are looking for Support workers to join our amazing team, and to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
• A full UK drivers licence

As part of your day to day work you will be offering the following;

• Encouraging – people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
• Supporting– Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
• Communicating - effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods
• Engaging - promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life
• Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches
• Recording- keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
• Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
