Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead and deliver high-quality support across two supported living services in the Bourne area. You’ll split time between hands-on care and leadership responsibilities, coordinating shifts and guiding staff to ensure safe, compliant services that promote independence.

You will work with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, supporting communication, daily living skills, routines, and community engagement to help people

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 months on your right to work in the UK.
  • Full UK Drivers licence level 2 in Health and Social Care and willing to work towards level 3.
  • Encouraging people to engage with communities to promote independence.
  • Supporting daily living activities including personal care, meals, budgeting, and routines.
  • Effective communication using peoples preferred methods and engaging to enhance quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and rotate shifts across two Bourne area services.
  • Provide hands-on support and leadership to staff teams.
  • Coordinate shifts and administrative duties to ensure high standards of care.
  • Deliver person-centred support reflecting goals, preferences and aspirations.

Were looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to work across our supported living services in the Grantham area, delivering and overseeing high-quality support for individuals with learning disabilities and/or difficulties, autism, and complex needs. In this role, youll support people to live as independently as possible within their own homes, promoting choice, control, and inclusion in everyday life. Youll play a key role in ensuring each person receives tailored, person-centred support that reflects their goals, preferences, and aspirations. Reporting to the Registered Manager, youll divide your time between hands-on support and leadership or administrative responsibilities. Alongside supporting the individuals, youll also provide day-to-day guidance and leadership to the staff teams across both serviceshelping to coordinate shifts, maintain high standards of care, and ensure services run smoothly, safely, and in line with best practice and regulatory requirements. This is a varied and rewarding role where you can make a real impact on both the people we support and your colleagues.

About the people youll be supporting:Youll be supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or difficulties, autism, and complex needs. Each person has their own unique personality, communication style, routines, and level of independence. Some people enjoy being active in their local community and engaging in social activities, while others prefer quieter, structured, home-based routines. Your role is to enable each person to live the life they choosesupporting them with daily living skills, communication, emotional regulation, and decision-making, while promoting independence wherever possible. Youll take a proactive, person-centred approach, including positive behaviour support where appropriate, to ensure individuals feel safe, understood, and valued in their own homes. Youll also work closely with families, carers, and external professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality support, while providing reassurance and clear communication.

Where youll be working:This full-time role is based across two supported living services in the Bourne area. Youll combine shift-based support with dedicated time for leadership and administrative duties, requiring flexibility to work across both locations to support staff teams, maintain high standards, and ensure continuity of care.

What is required from you?
  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work

  • Supporting Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.

  • Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches.
  • Recording- keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management.
