Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a genuinely caring Female* Support Worker in Flintshire to help people gain more independence daily. You will work within a dynamic team, assisting with personal care, community access, and social activities to improve quality of life.

Role requires resilience, flexibility, and a full UK driving license. Training and development opportunities are provided within a welcoming supported living service environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK manual driving license (for over 12 months).
• Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support including distress, mental health issues, autism and trauma.
• Demonstrates resilience, flexibility and a caring approach.

Responsibilities

• Help people gain more independence in daily life within a supportive team.
• Assist with personal care and encourage community access and social activities.
• Support people in activities such as outings to bars, cinemas, or home leisure activities.
• Promote goals like cooking meals independently and holiday planning.

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Female* Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our supported living service in Flintshire is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, hold a full UK manual driving license (for over 12 months) have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, autism, and people who have experienced trauma.
