Job summary

Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative is seeking a Female Support Worker to assist individuals in Pentraeth/Bodffordd with everyday decisions and personal goals. Your role includes community outings, personal care visits, and supporting living arrangements with compassionate, person-centred care.

Job description

As a Female Support Worker in Pentraeth/Bodffordd, you'll help transform everyday moments into meaningful experiences for the people we support. Our mission is to support individuals with learning disabilities to live happy, fulfilling lives and be active members of their communities. As a Support Worker, you'll be at the heart of this, providing encouragement, guidance, and support that helps people thrive.

Hours

We have both part time and full time hours - including days, evenings, weekends, short and long shifts. Please speak to us about the hours you are looking to do. Your shift pattern will include weekends and sleep-ins.

Salary

£13.59 per hour and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night and our travel expenses is paid 55p per mile

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll be actively supporting 5 individuals in making their own choices and set their own goals — whether it’s everyday decisions like what to wear, eat, or do, or something bigger such as where to live, how to manage their finances, or where to go on holiday. Your shifts will vary between long shifts supporting out in the community or shorter shifts doing a visit for personal care or meal times.

As a trusted Support Worker, you'll empower people to follow through on these choices, including taking part in structured activities that build confidence and develop new skills. You’ll also offer practical support to help them meet responsibilities like paying bills, maintaining their homes, being good neighbours, and staying connected with friends and family.

Your goal is to makeeveryday remarkable through enhancing well-being and focusing on the small, meaningful moments that bring joy and purpose. By offering this kind of person‑centred support every day, this truly is a fun and rewarding role for the right person.

No experience required as full training is provided.

  • have afull driving licence - essentialfor transporting individuals to appointments and activities
  • have access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 55p per mile to cover this
  • are female (this is a genuine occupational requirement due to the nature of the role)
